Ihre Aufgabe

  • Manage purchase contracts for projects & operation within scope
  • Ensure material delivery
  • Analyze and monitor parts to ensure coverage to meet production schedule
  • Define Purchasing strategy jointly with Operations with regards to on-time delivery
  • Modify quantity and technical modification of the order continuously according to projects needs
  • Ensure supplier’s quality is according to technical specifications and partner with Quality and Supplier Performance team to minimize non-conformity costs
  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure project success by representing Supply Management at meetings and work autonomously to resolve problems, but bring to management’s attention if required
  • Assessing risk in the supply and align with Procurement Manager on acceptable level of risk
  • Negotiate with suppliers and issue purchase orders or entire frame contract for dedicated projects
  • Ensure proper management of supplier contract and apply chargeback when justified
  • Manage material cost reduction activities
  • Explore continuously material cost reduction opportunities
  • Organize workshops internally and with suppliers in order to identify technical optimization and improvements based on a Total Cost of Ownership approach
  • Review major procurement levers to improve costs : Renegotiation, Resourcing and Redesign

Ihr Profil

  • Relevant experience in a similar role, with a strong purchasing and supply chain background
  • Ideally from a manufacturing industry background
  • MCIPS qualification preferred, but not essential
  • Track record of supplier performance improvement in all aspects of QDR (Quality, Delivery & Relationship)
  • Establish a robust commodity strategy
  • Track record of cost reduction
  • Continuous improvement background
  • Change management
  • Warehousing and distribution understanding
  • Requires an in-depth knowledge of the procurement industry in the rail market
  • Technical understanding of industry requirements
  • MRP / Purchasing experience (SAP preferable)
  • Excellent negotiator
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communicator
